Leigha Sommer | 2L at Northwestern Ptitzker School of Law
Leigha Sommer is a second semester 2L at Northwestern Law. She attended UIC for her undergrad; double majoring in Economics and English, with minors in Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology and graduated in the Spring of 2020 during Covid, halting all plans to go straight through to law school. Between UIC and NU Law, Leigha worked at Kirkland & Ellis as a Conflicts Coordinator on the Restructuring Conflicts team. Leigha went on to work on the Lateral Conflicts team and finally the Pre-Engagement Conflicts team where she was promoted to Senior Coordinator - the first person to hold that position in KE Conflicts! Leigha continued to work 25 hours a week as part-time in the KE Conflicts department during her 1L and first semester of 2L. For the first semester, she is finally "just doing school" and has built up an extensive list of do's & don'ts for the LSAT, law school application process, and law school itself!
