Speakers

Noor Al-Sheikh | 3L Student | Northwestern Pritzker School of Law

I am a Palestinian first-generation 3L at Northwestern Law School and I went to UIC for undergrad (class of 2022). I graduated with a bachelors in economics and a minor in psychology. Throughout law school I have tried everything and anything, ranging from corporate to environmental law, by taking diverse classes and externing in various areas of law. For extra-curriculars I served on the board of MLSA (Muslim Law Student Association), MELSA (Middle Eastern Law Student Association), IRAP (International Refugee Assistance Project), and now also PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund), which I created and brought to Northwestern this year, and the Journal of Human Rights. While I have spent my summer internships in the private corporate legal realm, I have shifted to public interest work in immigration and civil rights.

Shahrukh Hameed | 3L Student | Northwestern Pritzker School of Law

My name is Shahrukh Hameed, and I am a 3L at Northwestern Law. Originally from California, I earned my Sociology degree from UC Davis in 2020 before obtaining a second degree in Biomedical Science from Dominican University. During law school, I’ve been actively involved in the Journal of Human Rights and have served on the boards of several campus organizations, including MLSA (Muslim Law Student Association), MELSA, and now PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund). I spent my 1L summer at Chapman focusing on IP litigation and my 2L summer at Simpson Thacher.
