Download iCal FilePlease join us on Tuesday, October 22 from 4:00pm-5:00pm in UH room 850 to learn about the Future Justice Lawyers of Chicago (FJLOC) program. The FJLOC program is entering its third year. UIC was represented by fifteen outstanding undergraduates in the 2024 program.
The FJLOC is for students who are interested in becoming lawyers and dedicated to serving justice in some way. FJLOC members are interested in:
- Confronting existing injustices;
- Having practical experiences with our justice system;
- Learning from members of well-respected Chicago-based legal organizations that have a combined history of more than 75 years of tackling systemic injustices;
- Networking with lawyers, law students, and other students interested in addressing issues of injustice;
- Getting a deeper understanding of our legal system; and
- Deciding whether law school is the right choice.
Attorney David Schrodt will introduce the program and answer questions about his 30 plus year career as an attorney. UIC student and 2023 FJLOC participant, Patricia Georgiou, and UIC graduate and 2024 participant, Tesneem Amine, will share their experiences in the program and answer questions about it.
Please share and invite friends and classmates who are interested in justice issues…students do not need to be committed to the idea of law school to attend. RSVP below.
